Care Guide

A well-made piece of furniture should last a lifetime — and a little care goes a long way. Here's how to keep your Savery's pieces looking their best.

Upholstered furniture

  • Plump and rotate — turn and plump feather and fibre cushions regularly to keep their shape.
  • Keep out of direct sunlight — prolonged sun will fade even the finest fabrics. Position furniture away from strong light where possible.
  • Vacuum gently — use a soft brush attachment weekly to lift dust before it settles into the weave.
  • Blot spills immediately — never rub. Use a clean, dry white cloth and work from the outside of the spill inwards.
  • Professional cleaning — we recommend specialist upholstery cleaning rather than off-the-shelf products, which can mark natural fibres.

Loose covers, curtains & blinds

Follow the care label for your specific fabric. Many natural fabrics are dry-clean only, and linings and interlinings should always be cleaned professionally. If in doubt, ask us — we know every fabric we supply.

Wood & polished surfaces

Dust with a soft, dry cloth and avoid silicone sprays. Keep wood away from radiators and direct heat, and use coasters and mats to protect polished finishes.
