Ordering & made to order
What does 'made to order' mean?
Every sofa, chair and footstool is handmade for you by our own craftspeople after you place your order. You choose the size, fabric and finish — nothing is pulled from a warehouse shelf.
How long will my order take?
Lead times vary by design and fabric availability. We'll confirm an estimated completion time when you order and keep you updated while your piece is being made.
Can I choose my own fabric?
Yes — that's rather the point. Our fabric library is one of the largest outside London, with collections from GP & J Baker, Colefax and Fowler, Manuel Canovas, Jane Churchill and many more. Visit a showroom to browse, or contact us to arrange samples.
Do you offer design consultations?
We do — complimentary and without obligation. Book in-store or online and one of our designers will help you plan your room, fabrics and furniture.
Delivery, returns & care
How is my furniture delivered?
Larger pieces are delivered carefully by our team or a specialist furniture courier, and placed in your room of choice. We'll arrange a convenient delivery date with you once your piece is ready.
Can I return a made-to-order item?
Because made-to-order pieces are made specifically for you, they can't be returned for a change of mind. This doesn't affect your statutory rights — if anything arrives faulty or damaged we'll repair, replace or refund it. See our Delivery & Returns page for full details.
How should I care for my upholstery?
Plump and rotate cushions regularly, keep fabrics out of prolonged direct sunlight, and blot spills immediately. Our Care Guide has fabric-by-fabric advice, and we're always happy to help with re-upholstery when the time comes.
Do you sell gift cards?
